How to take to off the driver's side front door panel on a 98 catera?

I have some pictures to help. It really isn't that hard. First, pull the tweeter off, pull straight out and disconnect the wire:

Use a smaal screwdriver to remove the orange locking piece from the lock knob:

Remove the screw from the sleeve behind it:

Use a small screwdriver to remove the inner part of the handle of the door pull. You need to use the screwdriver to pull this little tab down to remove it:

There are two screws behind it. Two that are covered by little caps near the front edge of the door. There are several across the bottom that are hidden in the carpet. I think there are 5 or 6. This should get you where you need to be.

I forgot to tell you. That is the top of the handle. Push the screwdriver between it and the door panel to push it down. Pull out from the top.
