Wow, I saw the pictures, and I almost thought you stole my car... mine used to look exactly the same way... but lets see some pictures from all the way around...

What all have you done to it... ? BTW how the heck do you manage to keep the headlights so clean, mine are getting all foggy, I guess the plastic is getting old... and I am planning to upgrade the projectors and see if I can polish the lenses...

Here is mine in storage last winter, sadly I drove it all this winter and it got ruined, all sorts of chips on the paint and stuff, I guess I have to try and fix as much as I can.... before the summer comes...

haha, great story actually, my headlights are brand spanking new!! Some lady came barrowling down the parking lot as I was pulling out and she just about took my entire front clip off. I had to get a new bumper cover, impact bar (all that mess) two brand new headlights and one brand new right fog light. So at the shop they also refinished the hood. Before then my lights were getting foggy also, and the bumper cover was beat up from stones and just being on the road. Even tho it really made me mad, I was better off letting my insurance company rebuild my front end! I've got some detailing to do on the outside, the winter really takes its toll.

So far, I've got the euro grill, a new left fog light, led reverse and tail/brake lights, eyelids (still wondering about how those will look), and I also will be putting in hid fogs and new d2s bulbs, mine are still oem. Just waiting for warm weather. Oh I almost forgot. I did this last summer..... I love it!

Here's an update. The past few days have been really nice so I was able to get out and detail my cat a little bit. Not done with the grill yet. I'm gonna chrome it and leave the border black as soon as that nice warm not so windy day comes around. New emblem, fender ports. More to come!

What size tires are you running on there...

The grille and emblem look great but you got to do something about the color showing underneath...

235 45s. They ride very nice and corner nice too! I do need to do something about the grill. Now that I put the new emblem on I'm thinking about leaving it black with chrome border. I'll have to paint the inside of the hood black also. And the cap to the washer fluid. That's shows through too. Or paint it chrome and I won't have to worry about the inside hood color. I've been doing a lot of staring and thinking. Decisions decisions...

Wow I just noticed those fake side vents when I read the last post. The car is absolutely beautiful, but it seems people are throwing those vents on any and everything, thinking it looks upscale? It cheapens every car they're put on. Rethink those and your car will look awesome. I think sometimes people go overboard with the accessories, thinking more is better, when actually less is best. I do that myself to my cars sometimes, but I always keep looking and realize it's a little too much, and I go back down a notch. You want to draw attention for the right reasons, because your car is nice, not because you put so much stuff on it. Just my 2 cents..lol

Ok, why can everyone else find the black mesh grill for the 2001 Catera Sport but I can't? Cadi-Cat, please let me know where you found your grill and emblem set. I'm interested cause I like that look better. I too have the Silver 2001 Sport and am going to get the windows tinted and maybe some custom 18" chromes. The black mesh grill IMO is the #1 modification that really make the car look better. Of Course kudos to Catera-MV6 for all the photos and videos and CarDomain. Great effort!!!

good post! your right on the money! couldn't have said it any better. i swear is see those damn fake vents on everything form park avenue buicks to geos and to 300's

That's nice all around and especially the grill. I've been trying to get my hands on that HUGE emblem in the front, but blew $300 on 2 Kenwood 12's @2400W and a prefab'd enclosure. Just got it today!! Here's my grill that's a polished aftermarket grill mesh.
