It's a personal preferance. Not because everyone has them or to make it look "classy" (I don't think of them that way anyways) but because I like the way it looks. With the shape of the hood and the new grill it just adds that extra sweetness, I think.

I love the chrome bumper trim! But I think you should run that all the way around the car. Just my opinion. I also like the chrome lip on the hood. I'm going to paint the rain guards and trim around the windows chrome. It's a cadillac. Cadillacs need chrome!

I'm interested cause I like that look better. I too have the Silver 2001 Sport and am going to get the windows tinted and maybe some custom 18" chromes. The black mesh grill IMO is the #1 modification that really make the car look better. Of Course kudos to Catera-MV6 for all the photos and videos and CarDomain. Great effort!!!
I got them both separate off ebay. The grill is only found on the uk ebay site. I forget which company I got mine at but only a few of them ship to the U.S. It was about $160 with shipping. Took about 3-4 weeks to get here. For the emblem just search cadillac emblem on ebay and there will be many to choose from. Mine came off of a DTS!

Re: Just showing off my cat...

Thanks. I am watching a grill now that is by the German company
Tuning-Markt-com. How did you affix the emblem to the grill.
Also are you keeping it black or are you going to get it chromed?

Re: Just showing off my cat...

I've decided to keep it black and chrome the border. I just used 3m automotive trim and emblem tape. It holds pretty well.

Re: Just showing off my cat...

thanks. i haven't really got any applause on the bumper chrome. that stuff only comes in a small package about 10 feet long. It's $20 a pack and I need about 2 more....anyways those pics are old and just replaced my rear air shocks with the 2004 gto replacement Monroe Sensatracs. Lowers the rear about an inch for my car and much better ride and stance. I fixed the grill so it would come flush with the top hood chrome. I need a new emblem as mine is far too small to be see far away....so many people say it doesn't look like a Cadillac (in an impressed way).
