Re: random multi cylender misfire?

If you're getting misfires, you should be getting a check engine light and codes. Do you have any?

Re: random multi cylender misfire?

Sounds like a failed MAF sensor. The Bosch MAFs fail very frequently.

My car exhibited the same symptoms until the engine warmed up. This occurs because the O2 sensors must heat up before they can correctly read the air-fuel ratio. So during warm-up, the ECM relies on the MAF to set the proper air-fuel ratio, and this of course causes problems when the MAF is failing.

They cost ~$110 at rockauto.com and take about 5-min to replace.
