Bought a '97 ....help?

Hey,

My girlfriend bought a '97 Catera a couple weeks ago and now the CEL is on. Codes are P0440 for EVAP system and P0336 for Crankshaft Position Sensor.

I think I found the EVAP problem - someone broke one of the lines to the green evap. test point on the passenger side, then they tried to shove the two broken ends of the line in a piece of fuel line, without clamps or anything....doubt it would hold pressure.
Bad drawing:

-=O=--Line--[==FUEL HOSE==]--Line--???
...^Green cap

I'm going to replace the line tomorrow and see if the code pops back up.

As for the Crankshaft Position Sensor...
I'm trying to figure out where it is!!!
If you can help me locate this sensor it would be very helpful (shop manual picture maybe?)
Is this a common failure? Hard to replace?

Is there a bigger problem?

Well, it seems at lot of people (lately) have been having problems with the Cam and/or crankshaft sensors.

I wouldnt know where the crank sensor is on that ... Speedingpenguin has a shop manual and he could help you.. just have to contact him.
