Driver's Side Heated Seat dead

The light comes on when I hit the button, fuse is fine, but no heat! :-( Most likely the issue is the heating element, but I heard a lot of people talk about severed connections under the seat causing the problem, but does anyone know what other causes it might be? I called the dealership about getting it fixed and they said it would cost about $800 if it was the heating element...not doin that haha

i have same thing...driver side, light comes on, but no BTUs.

There are two relays under the dash near the multi function relay(far left hand corner under the dash) Check them but most likely it is the element.

i have the catera parts list here in front of me, but it doesnt have any info on the seat units themselves, just the base. need it for the driver-side on my 2001 sport.

and if you have or know of any installation diagrams for the front-seat heating elements, i'd appreciate that, too!
