Rearview interior mirror loose

i love this forum and i have already learned alot. I have a 98 cadillac catera sport and I have a problem with my rearview mirror whereby it doesn't stay in place. Basically i think i need to replace it and was wondering if any one knew of a place to get a used one. And does it have to be installed at the dealer? Any help on that would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with my '98 Catera. Is this an endemic problem or are we both "lucky"?

Any suggestions on how to fix it? Can it be tightened or does the whole mirror assembly need to be replaced?

Well, i found a used rear-view mirror on e-bay for like $30 and i'm going to try just swapping it out. Does anyone know how to remove/replace one of these things or do i need to buy the service manuals. Any help would be greatly appreciated and would save me having to buy more manuals.
