What do you all think? I would like to wire it up to my sport button.
Another scam product, similar to those eBay "chips" that are nothing more than a resistor to change IAT sensor readings, but this one is for the O2.

I would not use this at all, it could cause the engine to run too lean causing detonation and therby ruin your engine.

The power claims are absurd as well.

Re: Electric Superchargers...

ahhh... someone always comes along and runis it for everyone, haha. I don't know anything about these things so any negative feedback makes me uneasy. I wish I knew someone in my ordinary circle of friends that had a chip in their ordinary car. But no one has such a thing installed on their car. And I definatly don't want to ruin my perfectly performing cadillac engine!

Re: Electric Superchargers...

Crap...Crap...Crap. Did I mention these things are crap? Latest rip-off fad. In actual tests, they are simply not powerful enough to provide ANY measureable boost. Superchargers consume anywhere from 10 to 30 hp to operate, but they also give back many times that power. The electric chargers you're looking at are FRACTIONAL hp blowers. That being said, IF you had an alternator capable of 140-200 amp delivery(this is important to keep your electrical system voltage from dropping during the blowers operation), AND a high speed electric blower of say, 8-10 hp, modified to build pressure(the gap between the compressor blades and the chamber wall is critical) you WOULD see some small performance gains. Keep in mind, though that even with this minimal system, you'd still be supplying 600amps continously during blower operation. Buy a PAX charger system and be happy.

i wouldnt consider that ruining it. i would consider that usefull advice to keep you from ruining your engine. I think we should all just give up on trying to find cheap products that add HP to the Catera. None of them will ever work, they are all just cheap scams. No companies want to waste their time making parts for the Catera because the market is just not big enough. Its a car thats 6 years or older now, and has enough problems with the stock engine. GM made a horrible mistake when producing this car. They shouldve either made it lighter, or given it more power. Now its to late and there not much we can do about it.
