98 catera for $600?

Remove this ad
a friend of mine messaged me that her friend was selling her 98 cat. has all power, leather, blah, blah.

she wants $600 for it.

says it has a small trans problem.

think it would be worth buying and parting out? i know i need some parts for my catera, but you think i could unload the rest of the parts and make my money back?

Maybe... depends how much you value your own time... parting out the parts could recouver the purchase cost, but with time spent, taking the desired part off, packaging etc etc... might not be worth the hassle.

Oh and you need the space to park it while it's being slowly parted out, and then what do you do with the left over(s) ?

Just things to think about before committing to it.

Re: 98 catera for $600?

Sounds like a PITA. Loads of time and headaches parting out one car. UNLESS you really need a good number of parts yourself.

Re: 98 catera for $600?

parting out the car isn't a problem. i have parted cars out before. i have a 2 car garage with a 2 car carport for room.

just wanting to know if there would be a "demand" for catera parts.
