Can I remove the ETBCM and still drive the car?

Want to get the module rebuilt but need to drive the car while it is being worked. Can I drive the car without the ETBCM installed?

I guess you could, you would only loose the speedometer, so drive safely cause you might be over speeding without you knowing. And of course, you won't have the ABS and traction control.
