I have a 1997 catera with 86000 miles on it. Just recently, when i turn on the car, after about 7 seconds, i hear a click coming from a relay under my dash which i think indicates my air compressor is coming on which is followed by a loud noise for about 4 seconds. This loud noise is coming from above my front passenger tire. I believe this noise is possibly my air compressor coming on yet on other cateras i have riden in, this noise is not heard. My car rides fine and the noise is only heard when you start the car. I have also noticed that when i hit a pretty descent size bump on the front passenger side tire only, it sounds like i am hitting the bump really hard. But When i hit a bump with the other tires, it sounds normal. I think that something may be wrong with the suspension on this tire. Does anyone know what my problem could be and how i can go about fixing this. Thanks.
My 2 front tires sound like they hit real hard going over speed bumps and the back tires dont... So I know what your talking about sounds wise with your tire, but don't know about the clicking of switches...
i know the clicking is a relay which is turning somthing on causing this loud noise for about 4 seconds like i posted earlier. It sounds like the sound of a compressor but i could be wrong. I still like to know what is this noise and if i has anything to do with my suspension of my front passenger tire. But what is weird is all the other tires handle bump very well.
