    Considering a BLS

Hi all. I'm considering buying a new (or pre-regged) BLS but, since I live in the North East of the UK (Whitley Bay), I'm concerned about where I could get warranty repairs carried out.

A search on Stratstone's site locates my nearest dealership in Birmingham!

    Surely this can't be true.

Also am I right in thinking that servicing could be done by Saab dealers?

I'd not owrry about it buy it !

I'm sure if you spoke to GM UK they could tell you who could do the warranty work near you, i'm sure another GM Dealer should be able to carry out the work

    Re: Considering a BLS

My BLS came with a pack of 20 black wheel nut covers together with a special removal tool.I have just seen the same kit under Saab 9-3 on a Saab parts site.In addition my two luggage securing nets are actually marked Saab.My guess is that at least 90% of this vehicle is out of the Saab parts bin which I believe is to our advantage when it comes to parts/servicing etc.

    Thanks for the quick replies.
I know that this car is mechanically almost identical to the Saab 9-3, but wasn't sure about warranty work.

    I'll ask GM UK

    Phoenix,
I was told that any Saab or Gm dealers can carry out warranty and service work. I live in Norfolk and have the same problems with my nearest Cadillac dealers being Stratstone. My Norwich Saab dealer will be doing mine come service time. Just buy the car!!

I didn't try to contact them in the end. Circumstances have changed and we are now looking at a Volvo XC90. Kids eh?

    Re: Considering a BLS

I looked at XC90 just before I got the BLS but the MPG put me right off

if it hadn't been for the MPG on it I think i'd have gone for it myself.
