I agree, the Cadillac ATS is a fine looking car, but it ain't no BLS! Indeed, there is no Cadillac quite like the BLS. The BLS was built by Saab, Sweden, and is effectively a Saab 9-3 that just looks different. Typically Cadillac looking and if you didn't know anything different, you'd think it was 'all American', but it's definitely a European underneath. Under the hood in mine, I have a 1.9 turbo charged Fiat diesel engine, and it's pretty quick and still does 50mpg on a run.
My BLS, just after I lowered her by 40mm with H&R springs (sorry not the greatest pic). I have done quite a few more mods since. I will try resize pics and post
Having had a few Cadillacs over the past 15 years including a 1998 Seville STS, a 2010 CTS and a
2007 SRX, the Caddy itch struck again now that COVID restrictions have been all but removed and travel is back on the agenda.
I set out thinking of maybe a rwd STS or a V8 SRX and came home with… a diesel BLS Wagon! Not quite sure how that happened.
First impressions are very favourable whilst obviously Saab based the Art and Science styling touches make it feel like a real Cadillac . It‘s very comfortable and 46.2 mpg bringing it home is about double the best I have achieved in any previous Caddy.
I’ll try to post some better photos once the weather improves and report further after I have done enough miles to get a better feel for it.
I have a 2007 bls saloon ,absolutely stonking motor,148k still pulls like a train, good parts service, easy to maintain but still recognised as a cadillac but shrunk in the wash a bit
