have you seen this caddy before?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_BLS

The Cadillac BLS is a compact executive car designed specifically for the European market by the Cadillac marque of General Motors. The car is based on GM's Epsilon architecture and is built in the same plant in Trollhättan, Sweden that builds the Saab 9-3 and the Saab 9-5. Sales began on March 2006, with a station wagon joining the line for 2007. Though originally designed for the European market, the BLS was introduced to the Arabian, Mexican, South African, and South Korean markets for the 2007 model year.

i hear they are moving this thing state side soon. Maybe cuz they are finally trying to get a real 3 series contender instead of a midzied CTS trying to act like a little school boy 3 series.

Re: have you seen this caddy before?

Dealer in my country sell the BLS and it’s appear to be a mini version of the CTS.
didn’t see any on the roads so I'm guessing it's not a big hit in here..

Despite lowering expectations for its Euro-only BLS sedan all the way down to around 7,000 to 10,000 units annually, it appears Cadillac was still a bit too optimistic with the car's chances for success in the old country. The FWD sedan that's based on the Saab 9-3 and built alongside the Swede in the company's Trollhatan factory has sold a little over 400 units after being on sale since April, with the month of May being its first full sales month. Trollhatan has slowed its production of the car down to 30 units a week. When the BLS launched the factory was producing that many cars per day. At this pace GM/Saab is on track to produce only 1,560 cars a year, a number well off any of GM's original targets. Despite the slow start, the BLS is still the best selling Cadillac in Europe so far this year. The BLS has also been fairly well received by the European automotive press and dealers are reporting many requests for test drives, so don't count out Cadillac's chances for success in Europe just yet.

Re: have you seen this caddy before?

It's actually grown on me and I'm beginning to like it. It think it would make a good entry-level vehicle for Cadillac in the U.S. Right now, the CTS is getting a little too expensive for young Cadillac wanna-be drivers.. When the CTS was introduced, it drew-in a lot of young people - and that's not a bad thing.. Now we need something else to do that...

Re: have you seen this caddy before?

I don't really like BLS. It's a totally inferior model to the other Cadillacs. However it does sell due to the lower price so I guess it makes GM happy.
