    I hate manufacturers for this.

    They should all place their radios in a DIN sized chassis (containing 'only' the radio controls), and make it easy to replace them. There's no real reason the radio 'has' to be integrated into the nav system.

    And putting all the signal processing in the amp.. What? I'm 'sure' they could just as easily placed all that processing in the head unit, and ran simple, low-level signals for each speaker to a 'dumb' amp, and on to the speakers. At least then you could replace the amp and speakers easily, even though you'd be stuck with the integrated head unit. Arghh...

    Sounds like grounds for a class action law suit. There's gotta be a law against designing systems so that they can't be upgraded!
