To clairfy, I am looking to tie a Sirius unit into my 2001 Bose head unit. Will that work? If not, how can I hard wire into the diversity antenna?

Re: My 2002 Seville XM Direct Wiring Guide

If I have no options for the 2001 radio, what is a good going rate for the 2002 unit and where is the best place to find them?

Re: My 2002 Seville XM Direct Wiring Guide

I'm supposing that since my 05 SRX (w/out Nav) indicates that XM radio is available, that it is available for my car. Can I assume then that GM has wired for XM back to my rear passenger quarter panel? I find a single white connector (22 pins open and an additional row of 11 blocked) taped up back there. There are 7 wires going to one of the rows, and all 7 wires are purple.

Can anyone tell me what this connector is for?

Re: My 2002 Seville XM Direct Wiring Guide

The DRR connector is black and 16 pins.

Most likely what you saw was not a connector but a Splice Pack (304 to be exact). it's where all the Class 2 Serial data (purple) wires come together.

Re: My 2002 Seville XM Direct Wiring Guide

Hey Chris, or anyone else that can help,

I ordered that $10 GM100HARNESS from Radios and more and they told me that wouldnt work on the Caddy and cancelled the order.

Can you tell me exactly what harness you used? Was it the t-harness in the SIR-GM1 box, or was it the $10 one from Radios and more, or was it something else?

You said you got the harness, plugged one end into the changer harness and the other into the SIR-GM1.

The SIR-GM1 says that the Deville must have been installed with factory XM. Why is that? Doesnt the supplied T-Harness work with the radio?

thanks

Andrew
