Just replaced a front door panel speaker

yesterday. I am getting lots of hiss though underneath the sound. AFAIK, the speakers in the car are not amplified bose speakers, but the power wire going to them seems like a bigger gauge than regular speaker wire.

Just wondering if there is any special reason why I would be getting hiss in this 1988 Eldorado Biarritz.

I put a panasonic rubbery cone type speaker in there. It is rated at 75w or more.

Followup message:

Seems that the problem is in the receiver somehow. The right channel seems to go out sometimes. I replaced the otehr three speakers, left front both rear speakers. The sound seems to be very good while on, but the right channel seems to go out at times.

Could be a loose conection behind the receiver/amp I guess or an electrical component in the recever/amp.
