    92 deville stereo issue

I have a terrible noise coming from the speakers, mainly right and or rear. It is making a scratching noise
    intermittently and
static like the control knob is dirty but when I move it high to low nothing changes but the volume. Does this car
    have AVC and
could the problem be in that control. If so is there a way to bypass it and just use the control on the radio.

If it is a Delco Bose system then you probably have an amplifier failure. See post: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...cial-rear.html

AVC was introduced on Gen. V Seville in '98 and in the '00 Deville.
