2004 Deville Stereo Install
This is my first post so I hope to gain some knowledge from you guys. Thanks in advance.
I have a 2004 Deville (yes, BOSE)
I have a Pioneer p-4400 ... brand new unit , never installed ... got it on black Friday, the $ was right, but Ive been sitting on it since due to mechanical repairs taking precedence ... (after 1.5 yrs I have it running at a level I am satisfied etc, now the stereo gets replaced)
I HAVE the unit, PAC steering wheel adapter, parking brake override (will get a color rear view cam w color)
I NEED to replace the speakers and start new (I live in buffalo, car is from Fla , winter morning at about 0 degrees started the car on with the volume cranked accidentally and blew the speakers)
A lot of conflicting reports online.
I believe there is a 10" sub in the rear deck
5 1/4" speakers in all 4 doors
2" speakers in the pillars
and a indash speaker I am not so concerned about ...
A - Is this correct ?
I am looking for a very clear crisp sound. Not looking for a performance thumping system, but want a quality sound, I am considering
JL Audio 10W3v3-4 10" Single 4 ohm W3v3 Series for the sub
JL AUDIO TR525-CXI 5.25" for the doors
(having trouble finding 2" tweeters?)
B - Help or recommendations ?

Re: 2004 Deville Stereo Install
Know that the original Bose HU is part of the car's serial data bus and TheftLock system. Read the threads on complete installs and go from there - you'll need the whole enchilada, from HU to amps to all wiring to speakers - and the wiring jumpers/harnesses that allow you to even start and drive the car.
Crutchfield (auto audio) has a site for this stuff ...............
