Found a 97 eldo with Bose head unit. Could u get this setup with and without cd changer in trunk? Guy says it has cassette. Like my 96 Sts does. I do have cd changer in trunk. He seemed to imply there was no trunk changer. So hu might have cd button? And no changer? Maybe changer was removed?

    Re: 97 bose

All 96+ BOSE or base HU accept CD changer, actually the car is already pre-wired for the changer, all you need to do is connect it to the cable in the trunk and instant CD changer. The '96 and '97 BOSE and Base HU did not had CD slot; the '98+ Bose HU did. The '98+ HU is 100% compatible with '96-'97 BOSE sound systems, can be retrofitted with no modification. All you need is spend the $50+ at the dealer to have the VIN cleared from the new HU.
CD changer was a $700+ option, not all cars had it, so just because is BOSE doesn't mean the original owner opted for the $700+ CD Changer
