Can I DISABLE security but still use my keyless remote...
I have narrowed down my parasitic battery drain on my 2000 STS to my security system... if I lock the car manually (by pressing the lock button - NOT the "power lock" button) then I have NO problems. However, if I use the remote fob to lock the doors or press the electric door lock button (both which arm the security), then my battery will drain for sure. Is there any way to DISABLE the security but still be able to use the keyless remote? I do think that if I flip the valet switch it will not arm the security but I am looking for a more permanent solution :-)
Any assistance is appreciated.
