    Amp+ Sub(s) combo question

Just purchased a 2nd Kicker Comp 10C104 sub (150w rms) to add to my existing one, which is currently powered by a Kenwood KAC-5204 2 channel Amp:

Will this still be enough for them? Or should i upgrade, and if i decide to use this, i'm thinking of wiring them in parallel 4+4 = 2 ohm. Will this push the amp too hard?

I'm planning on a vented box. Might go sealed. I dont want my car to rattle.

    Re: Amp+ Sub(s) combo question

your amp list 2ohm as a compatible spec.

you COULD run them both off the amp, assuming your wiring and charging system is in good shape, youd be seeing about 70w/each. thats not really that bad, but its not gonna be a block quaker or anything like that.

If you upgrade, what would you upgrade to?

that amp wired right would probably be almost perfectly matched to those speakers.

    So should i wire as

    sub(4ohm) - sub(4ohm) - to > amp -

    + + to > amp + ?

    In parallel?

    Re: Amp+ Sub(s) combo question

that made no sense haha, the amp you listed is a 4channel bridgeable. the terminals are the bottom left on this pick, and they are stacked front is prob on top rear on bottom

    bridged.jpg

note: the red and black wires on the top speaker do not need to cross or splice, that was just the way i drew it

so instead of using 4 channels to power 4 speakers, youll be using 2 channels each speaker. according to the specs, this will give you about 140 watts RMS
