    2003 DTS AUDIO -> Wanna Add 2 12's

    Hey guy's have a couple questions for your experts about adding two subwoofers in my 2003 Cadillac DTS.

    First of All I'm Looking 2 Add Two Kenwood 12's That Have A Max of 1000 (2000k Total For Both) and going to be using a 1800 Kenwood Amp (So both subs will be getting 900w)

    My question is that i have a Bose sound system. And I Have a touchscreen Entertainment system. How would i go about this?

    I've also done some research on the car and have learned that there is a 300w amp in my back seat. But 300 watts would not be enough to power 2 12 inch subs. So would i just be able to remove the stock amp in there and add the 1800w kenwood amp? Is it that easy then hook the two subs like that.

    Im just getting into upgrading audio and sorry if any of these questions sound stupid.

    I'd recommend posting this on a true car audio forum. No one here answers your questions, lol.

    You need to run that amp separately. If your stereo is an aftermarket unit then it should have a connection just for your sub itself. It's easier to mount the amp to the box the subs are in.

    Like I said in the other post, disconnect the factory sub, don't do anything with factory amp but if you can find it, find the signal wire going to the factory amp and hook it up to your after market amp. Also what is the RMS rating for the amp and the RMS rating for each sub, also what OHM are you going to wire the subs too?

    Here are my 2 12's -

    ^ I now have 2 10's and these 12's have been put in my van, LOL yes my van!
