    speaker ohm ?

    what speaker ohm should be used to replace factory speakers in a 99 deville base, just a tape deck, no bose?

    4 ohm. I've never seen 8 ohm in a car. Some come with 6 ohm, some even with 3 ohm. The lower the ohms rating the more bass you'll get but if you're not concerned about that, 4 ohm is the answer. I'd guess 90% of the replacement speakers on the planet are 4 ohm.

    Most all interior speakers are infact 4ohm.. go with 4..
