Will stock non-Bose head unit in 2007 DTS run aftermarket speakers...
I have a 2007 DTS, will the stock non-Bose head unit run aftermarket speakers? I know that there are issues with the Bose systems and the ohm ratings. I have not seen anything in regards to the 2006+ DTS posted.
Just wanted to freshen up the sound a bit with some better speakers.

What you will have to do is remove one speaker from your car and on the back, on the magnet, you will find the ohms rating. Match the new speakers to that. In my '02 Seville the factory speakers were 2 ohm. That is what I needed to buy. If you put a 4 ohm speaker where a 2 ohm speaker was you will have volume issues. As in you will barely be able to hear them. If you put a 2 ohm speaker where a 4 ohm speaker was you will also have volume issues. but this time the speakers will be extremely loud and your risk of blowing the amp is great.
