    96 Deville Concourse Aftermarket Radio Installation

    I was just looking for what radio interface i should be using for a 96 Deville Concourse, Crutchfield says that i should use Metra's GMOS-06. But the Product description says that its for a 99-05 Deville. Crutchfield has been right 99.9% of the time i have used them. But i would feel better if someone with experience chimed in to help me. Thanks guys.

    Been well documented, forget the 06, hardwire the deck into the trunk and run all new wires. Your not far from me I can probably help you.

    I Finally had gotten the chance to pull the deck out. The previous owner had best buy install the radio, they ran new speaker wires (to where I have no idea, i have yet to trace them. But i'm assuming that they ran them to the speaker outlet side of the Factory amp.) I dont have any real problems with the radio being hard wired like this except that it doesn't have RAP, and the radio will not turn on when the key is turned back. I'm not sure if i would want to hard wire the factory deck or not, but i'm assuming that if i do then i would retain the RAP and keyback features. But would i be using the factory amp for the highs? And if so then would It use high or low level inputs for signal? My radio has full RCA outputs so thats not a problem If it needs a low level signal. Thanks a million.
