sound level decrases on stock system

I have a 94 fleetwood with a stock headunit the one with the a,b,c,d,e
pre set EQ and out of no where the sound will decrase while im drivin. Whats wrong?

The system has "speed-sensitive" volume control, and auto loudness. Unfortunately, GM radios also turn off the loudness automatically at higher volume levels so it's actually possible to get the volume to a point that only a slight increase in volume actually makes it quieter
BTW, are you aware that you CAN customize the EQ settings?
