xm unlock on 08 escalade

I have just taken delivery of a new 08 escalde over here in the UK, now got 280 miles on it. I have the full factory sat nav install but no XM option on the display. I realise that the XM satellite does not cover europe but I would like to fit an ipod lockpick adapter. My vehicle does have the tuner module fitted as I have dropped the glove box and checked, so I can plug the lockpick in OK. Does anyone know how I can get the xm option to appear on the screen?
