I got the 15's in my trunk, and when I put the base up inside it sounds alrite (when its loud) but I can hear the distortion from the trunk rattling. I go outside of the car and all you hear is metal clanking. How can I sound proof my trunk so it doesn't rattle and shake as much making all that noise ? I already got some gutter patch, which is just like Dynamat, and I also got the door/window insulator which is the same thing but a bit thinner. I look at the trunk it's just the edges that touch with the trunk and the frame where the trunk closes. What would be the best way to insulate the trunk area so it doesn't rattle and the bass sounds clean ?
Re: Trunk Rattling
you need to figure out how many cubic feet your trunk lid is and buy enough Dynamat(i personally would prefer something like Second Skin secondskinaudio.com) to cover the lid at least twice. Do a google search on sound dampener
