Factory XM with added Factory NAV

I'm getting ready to install an 04 nav system in my 03 deville. I got my service manual yesterday. In reviewing the manual it 'appears' there isn't a provision for the XM band for the Nav units (at least in 03, of course with a later nav, what's for certain). I'm looking to find out if there is anyone out there with an 03-05 Deville with both NAV and XM. I've been told that XM would 'show up' as an optional band once it is connected.
I do listen to XM a lot and this is important to me. Anyone have both?

I did see a post from a guy last month that had an 03 DTS with factory nav who lost his XM due to a power issue, so I feel better... But I already have the XM module, so I shouldn't have to splice anything in for it, right?
