I am doing the rear deck speakers on my '88 Fleetwood FWD and need a little help. I am mounting them from the top and I need to know what do I use as insulation/padding between the speaker and the car. I have some foam baffles that I got from Crutchfield with the speakers, but the foam is deadening my bass response and I don't hear/feel the low frequency bass. I know its not my speakers because I plugged them in and had them sitting freely in the trunk. I also know that I do not have the polarity of the connection reversed. My aunt said that she used to use rubber, but that was back in the early 80's and I have no idea if they even make something like that anymore. Any help is greatly appreciated.
