    No sound from rear deck sub

    I'm not getting any sound from the rear deck sub. can someone help me with diagnose this problem ? All other speaker and audio controls work properly.

    fried voice coil
    dead channel in the amp
    could be many things...

    Thanks for the info CadillacSTS2003....... Where is the amp located for the rear deck sub ? What is a voice coil and where is it located ?

    vc is the thing that moves in the sub creating the sound ie bad sub
    amps in the rear deck
    either way to test it youll need an ohm reader
