I have a factory tape player right now, and I want to put a factory CD player in there. Is it any more difficult then buying the male harness to the CD player and connecting it to my factory one? I know I don't have a security system in my car, because I can take the factory radio out and drive around fine.

lemme repeat
ALL CADILLAC CD SLOT RADIOS HAD EXTERNAL AMPS
ie less you have bose or active audio you sure can power up a cd slot unit, sure you can play the cd fm am and tape but your not gonna hear a dang thing

and no no other gm player will work they have 24 pin radios cadillac has 32 pin, olds used a 32 pin radio but it too was BOSE and requires the bose or an amplified system to hear the music
