1997 Cadillac Eldorado Aftermarket Stereo

Well as you can see in the title i have a 1997 cadillac eldorado no bose and 12 CD changer and I would like to get an aftermarket radio. If anyone could tell me where I could get a wireing harness a dash kit and anything else I may need. metra makes the dash kit
and you need a metra gmos-03

Its the GMRC-03 not GMOS-03.

If you go to Metra's website, there is no such part listed as GMOS-anything. I'm just going by what I have found. Doing a little more searching there are some sites that list the GMOS-03 but no mention on Metra's website. Maybe the GMRC replaced the GMOS series? They are both described as Class II data interfaces for the Seville, Eldo, Deville 96-05.

is not the 32 pin gmos-03 that i have in my car now... thats completely different but the gmos-06 is still the same

Has anyone every had any luck finding a kit to install a double din head unit into an eldo? I would love to put in an aftermarket NAV unit without the pop-up screen in my 99 eldo but I haven't been able to locate much info on if this possible. I think by reading through this board that there aren't out there?

there was a listing on ebay for a double din but when i went to order it ,poof it didnt exist ...wasnt even imagining it ..i saved on my account and it said nolonger a seller ...

it was a fabbed up kit that the seller made
it is not a production fascia

any suggestions on how to create your own kit to fit a double din nav/dvd into an 99 eldo? I have the non-bose system so I think the wiring won't really be that hard to figure out with the kits mentioned earlier in this file. Should I just but one of the single din kits and try to modify it somehow? I will keep an eye out on ebay to see if any one is selling one they created, but have yet to see one on there.

I think I am going to try to install the Kenwood DNX5120 now that it is down to $635 on amazon.
