I know Mike and nyinstaller both said that any changes to the tune are done fairly quick within minutes, but what has been the typical download stock and flash time for the initial 93 oct tune?

yeah man, I wouldn't believe it if we hadn't seen it on 2 different cars.

Anyone looking for peak performance...click off the A/C, it eats up 25 ft/lbs....

the initial backup read takes a couple minutes, maybe a minute or two for each file (PCM and tcm), then less than a minute each to write the tunes. 2 key cycles after the PCM flash and it's ready to rock.

I'll go ahead and reiterate that a key cycle is not just pushing the button, but holding it for 10 seconds or so until Run mode is engaged

I used to think that our A/C is electric and is not driven by pulley, therefore A/C is not a load on the engine. I was wrong?

I wouldn't be shocked if it had electric AC but that wouldn't eat up power, unless there was some odd torque limiting happening when its on...hmmm.

    Confirmed, it's belt driven

Mike can the tcm part of the tune be manipulated by the sport button? If not what function if any does the button have after the tune is installed.

sport mode functions like it always did, the tune improvements apply to all modes.

From what I've heard the sport mode does very little it you have awd since no magnetic ride.

Re: Diablosport 2.0T ATS tune development

So theres no 2 patterns like in my V where shift pressures and points can mapped individually? It would be neat to only have the firmer shifts when in sport.

Any idea on the % TM removed?
Also what devices are compatible to load the tune , i dont need all the bells and whistles so the most cost effective would do and ill get with maryland speed to order.

    Thanks

Re: Diablosport 2.0T ATS tune development

I'm guessing this is similar to cobb's access port for subaru.
I will definitely be buying one of these.

@diablomike- did you guys make a map specifically for Arizona California Nevada 91? I have my wrx protuned, the tuner made it very clear that I have to use the "acn" maps because the 91 gas is so bad out here.

Also, should I buy the trinity or the intune. I didn't really understand the difference between them. Will they both still allow me to re flash for warranty work?

the main difference sport mode offers to all users is more aggressive part throttle shift points, and slightly firmer shifts. It still acts exactly the same with the tune, only we have added a bit more firmness to the shifts, you'll only feel that under heavy throttle. Sport mode also firms up steering feel.

    Thanks

yes, there are still 2 patterns, and can be edited individually through custom tuning and the user params are broke down to different modes so you can adjust pressure or shift points indifferent modes
Trust me, the firm shifts are exactly how this car should have come from the factory, I can't see anyone finding it to be too much or too firm at all. TM removal is not really % based like it used to be, there's a lot more to it now.

Sounds like intune is the tool for you

yes, there will be a specific 91 tune for you guys.

Both tools offer the same tuning/flash capabilities, trinity adds some bells and whistles....I'm tight on time but I have explained the difference elsewhere in this thread

Let me know if you need further clarification.
