Acording to that gm blog, sounds like a lot of 2.0t engines were or are affected. Happy for you that your dealership has stepped up to the plate to take care of your issues. Kind of sad what is going on with GM now.

    worlds best GM dealer.

After the car comes back, it will be interesting to see if the stock power feels strong to you.

The Rod/Bearing issue is different than the OP's

PI1178 ATS/Malibu Engine run rough with check engine light (CEL) on. Low compression on cylinder with misfire, DTC P0300 set.
    Replace pistons and rings.

Hopefully gm gets their act together and fixes or stops production of defective components or known issues instead of relying on dealer to correct and in the meantime leaving customers a bad taste for their products. Glad to see dealers stepping up and delivering excellent customer service. I was very happy with the service from my cadillac dealer.

    Re: Service stabilitrak

Got my car back after 8 business days and holy crap I think my car's balls dropped...again.

Not sure if they reflashed the ecm or not but my service write-up says they didn't. The ATS > SRX hands down. So happy to be back in my own car after a week.

Looks like 20+ hours to swap the pistons.

They even re-adjusted my alignment because one of my wheel toe's was off.

    Total out of pocket... $0.
