Ac drain fix apears to be adapted

After a recent trip to the dealer it appears the ac condensation drain line fix has been adapted as an actual fix. Not just the deodorizing.

I went to a dealership in pompano beach fl and besides fixing all my concerns they did the drain line fix. Now there has been little reason to run the ac but I will say when it has come on so far it has not smelled as bad as it did. Now I smell the stuff they cleaned the coils with but I know that will pass.

Was there a service number on your repair statement that referenced the fix? Bert

The fix goes through the bottom of the car and not through the cabin, as had been done previously. They have to drop the tranny and exhaust systems and lower a drain pipe so that it is level with the part that catches the A/C condensate. Also, be aware, that after the car is shut off, the fan will automatically go on for a minute or so, to further dry out the condensate from the ducts. I've had it done 2 months ago by the folks who developed this fix, Ed Morse, Delray Cadillac, and so far so good.
