    CAI and Down pipe install

I'd like to find out how much a cold air intake and downpipe would be to install on my ATS turbo. I know price would be different from garage to garage. But how about a ballpark number. Does anyone know?

    Thanks guys.

Not sure about the p35 kit but locally, an authorized Pfadt vendor wanted 1500 to install their p50 kit. They claim they called Pfadt directly to request a time estimate. Their response was 15-17 hours. Hence, why I went with a p35 and I'll pay a mechanically inclined friend to do the work.

15-17 hours for a bolt on turbo kit??
    Intake,headers,turbo,downpipe and intercooler.

Seems a little bit excessive on hours.

Largest item timewise is for removing/replacing the front cap when installing the intercooler. If you can do that yourself you save half that projected install time.

Re: CAI and Down pipe install

OP is asking for intake/downpipe install pricing. while i don't know what a shop would charge, i think almost anyone can do both of these themselves with the proper instruction and time. even if you're a novice and have never touched a wrench before, the downpipe on this car is about the easiest swap you'll ever come across, with a TON of space to work in/around it.

i say do it yourself, and just take your time. let it be a weekend project if you're weary at all, or employ the help of someone you trust as a second set of eyes for you.

i AM doing these myself, but i wouldn't recommend any shop that would charge more than 1.5 hours labor for both these.

I just ordered the p35 late last week so I haven't received my kit yet. I am looking forward to it though.

I cannot find any CAI kits on the market for the ATS 2.0T. Anyone have better luck?

    ----------

forgot to add..it would be great if GM made their own CAI for the ATS. Just like Mopar does for Dodge.

Re: CAI and Down pipe install

Very sorry for the late reply in this thread. As some have already mentioned, the amount of time to install the P35 Package CAI and Downpipe will vary from dealer to dealer, but the installation is incredibly simple and straightforward. The CAI will take as little as 5 minutes and the downpipe could take somewhere around 45 or so. Here are the downpipe installation instructions: Downpipe Install Link Couple that with about 15 minutes to install a Pfadt Pflash P35 tune and you have a FAST and simple way to get a nice bump to about 350HP.

mdaow12i, the Pfadt Carbon CAI kit is what some users in this thread are referring to as being available right now. Many people have already installed this Intake and Tune with great success. You can expect somewhere in the 60 HP gain from the Pfadt CAI and Tune package located here: Cold Air Intake and Tune package page

My p35 kit finally shipped today so I'll be reviewing it post-install.
