    Pfadt Race Engineering is continuing to push the limits of the Cadillac ATS LTG 2.0L turbo engine. After becoming the worlds fastest ATS last year at the Texas Mile with our development P40 package, we have now fully developed the P50 package that bumps horsepower to a ridiculous 550 crank.



    An outline of the packages Pfadt Race Engineering now offers:

    P50 - 500+ Engine Crank HP.
    This package gains you membership into The Elite Tuners Club. This power is not for the faint of heart as it comes on at about 4500 and doesn't stop until you are far ahead of the competition. Intended for drag racing use, the P50 pulls out all of the stops and reaches the absolute horsepower limit on the stock bottom end and fuel system. Included in this package is the Pfadt Pro-Race Turbo, handbuilt tubular Exhaust Manifold, Turbo Downpipe, handbuilt high-flow Intercooler package, Carbon Cold Air Intake, Pfadt high-output Pflash. This Turbo Package produces over double the horsepower of your ATS 2.0L Turbo. Quite simply, this is the fastest ATS Turbo package in the world. German imports have been warned.

    500HP P50 Turbo Package Link

    P45 - 450 Engine Crank HP.
    This quick spool Turbo Package lays down impressive peak numbers that rival its bigger brother, but drivability is increased as your power curve now delivers massive torque a full 1000 RPM earlier at around 3500. This kit is geared more for aggressive street use and keeps the everyday commute exhilarating. Installation of the P45 package will result in you most likely "taking the long way" home more often than not. Included in this package is the Pfadt Pro-Street Turbo, handbuilt tubular Exhaust Manifold, Turbo Downpipe, handbuilt high-flow Intercooler package, Carbon Cold Air Intake, Pfadt high-output Pflash.     P35 - 350 Engine Crank HP.
    This kit is all about maximizing your engine's output with the stock turbo that came with your ATS.     Very nice. A little pricey, but nice! Remember, if you want to play, ya gotta pay!! Someone has to cover the r&d costs for all the pretty parts that make our cars fast as hell.... Although I haven't decided on where I'm getting my tune from just yet, Pfadt does seem to have the most complete, we'll rounded packages I've seen so far. I like the P350 kit as I just want a little more power than what the car came with and don't want to ruin the car with crazy mods as this is my DD. I already have a hot rod that I can get crazy with....

    Allow me to clarify
    The P50 was $5000
    It's now $2000 more than a couple of weeks ago

    I'm sure Pfadt Has tested these packages, and will not put out anything that's going to totally trashed the car.

    I noticed the price hike too but didn't want to be the first to say anything. My take is that since the P50 makes more power than before, they decided to raise the price. At least the p35 price didn't increase. Glad I already ordered my p35 but am kinda kicking myself for not grabbing the p50 last week when the price was still $5k.

    How do you like the P50 on the street compared to the P45?

    How is their tune dealing with the transmission?

    I've tried a couple of tunes and find the transmission shifting a little less than optimal. The current file (have had several tweaks done to shift firmness and shift points) I'm running seems to be the be the best to date with the exception of 6th-5th downshift under moderate acceleration. Needs more tweaking. It is not a pfadt tune.

    Looking at the P45 but will of course always have doubt about not getting the P50, but I understand the theories on paper. Looking for

    Just looking at the dyno graphs it's clear the P50 would be a pain in the ass to drive on the street. Less torque/hp than the stock engine until over 4000 rpm+. Especially with an automatic (unless someone makes a high stall convertor. But, even then you'll feel a lack of torque in daily driving).

    To me, the P45 would be the killer weapon on the street, especially with the automatic transmission. Automatics will keep the turbo spooled between shifts.

    IMO

    My opinion on being familiar with both 35 and 30 turbo models.
    On my STI I ran a 3582 and it wouldn't hit until 4500 rpm lag city. Although it would rip your fillings out.
    I did not like it at all for a DD at all.

    Settled on a 3076GTXR with a bigger .82 housing. Spools up really nicely. Pulls like a freight train from
    3300 rpm

    Judging from Pfadts photos and descriptions it sounds like both series turbos used on the LTG are the same
    I ran/run on my Subie.

    Looking forward for some ET's for 0-60 and quarter mile! Dyno #'s are fine, but let me see how they hook up on street tires. Want a car that handles and goes, not one dimensional.
    At this point Pfadt is showing the way forward. Looking forward to vendor competition and future development.
