    6MT shifting force

Does anyone else have a 6MT with one or two gears that require a greater amount of force to shift the lever into than the others? Specifically downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. Double clutching does not help. 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th gears are buttery smooth downshifting and upshifting. The car is an earlier build (12/12). I find myself not using 2nd gear b/c of this issue.
Dealer told me there is no issue.... But this is the same dealer that broke my radio trying to update, left my car filthy, told me its normal for my car to not have power steering after stalling and restarting, and that curbed my wheel and tire while in for service.

    This.

I agree with everything you said. I've found it takes more force in the lower gears than 4-5-6. 3-2 downshift is real "notchy" as some magazines have pointed out. However, after driving the automatics in both the 3.6 and 2.0 for loaners, I'll take the notchiness of the manual to the rough shifts of the auto any day. I'm hoping that a short shift kit will come out soon

My shifter is smooth as silk between all gears, whether shifting up or down. I think you need to find a new dealership!

Lol nice description. Yeah mine is still not too smooth unless I double clutch.

No problem with mine... Shifts better than the bmw I had and comparable to the sti that I traded in for my ATS... Of course not even close to the shift quality of any Miata nor Hondas...

My manual is very notchy. You really have to jam it in there to shift. Got about 3.5k miles on my '13

Mine shifts smoothly, though I'm really missing the GMM short shifter in my '04 GTO. Have any of you with the notchy shifts and/or need to double clutch tried bleeding the clutch? Sure sounds like a possibility.

    Re: 6MT shifting force

More descriptive, shifting between gears 1 and 2 is really hard and notchy. Getting to 3rd gear is ok, shifting from 4 to 5 to 6 is nice and smooth. 2nd gear is the worst by far. I have accidentally grinded my gears a few times trying to quickly throw the car into second from a fast start.
