    Ats key fob problems

I have been a satisfied ATS owner however I am having problems with my key fob. Lately when I start the car the theft detection system light goes on and I have to put the key fob in the holder inside the arm rest. This has only happened twice when I am in my parking garage. The dealer has said there must be some sort of frequency interference. They say there is no fix and that I will have to use key fob holder to start the car. I can't believe that is the solution. Has anyone run into this issue?

where you live might make this true, in San Diego the navy occasionally broadcast some signal that jams car remotes in huge parts of the city, nothing you can do about that, otherwise I'd replace the batteries in the remotes and have your dealer go through a lost remote procedure in which they delete all remotes from the vehicle and reprogram new ones, in this case use your original remotes, see if that works. remember your car has a 4 year 50,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, and this is not normal so you can bring it in as often as you need till this gets fixed, if the dealer refuses to help contact Cadillac or find another dealer

    Hello tsatter,

I apologize that you are dissatisfied with the response you received from the dealership you were working with. I would be more than happy to set up an appointment with another dealership for a second opinion as pissedoffwookiee has stated. If you were to private message me your VIN, I would be able to do some additional research on your behalf as well. Thank you very much for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
