    IntelliBeam ROCKS!!

Just one of the many new features added on the 2014 ATS is the IntelliBeam lights and they ROCK! When no other automobiles are around, your high beams automatically turn on when driving on a dark road or highway. My LED lights alone light up the road, but the IntelliBeam is just an added bonus! Add the Adaptive Cruise Control and the Drivers Assist Package and my ATS basically drives itself!!! I am so impressed with this car!

There is a member on the forums who retrofits it on 2013s. If you recall the owner's manual says the 2013 has it. It was a last minute cancellation, probably for some legal/liability issues they wanted to explore further. Anyway, it's a software only change. All the hardware is already there. I was talking to him back in April about using mine for prototyping in exchange for geting it free but realized I may never drive mine at night where there are no street lights so it wasn't wrth the effort/risk. If I remember, I'll look up his forum name and post it here. I think he was talking about charging around $100 but don't hold me to that. I rememebr thinking it might be cool to have it start flashing the lights if you were closing on a car in front. LoL

    Re: IntelliBeam ROCKS!!

I live in the country, so most of the roads are pitch black at night, so the intellibeam is a definite plus for me!!!! Below are the other new features ADDED to the 2014 ATS:

    Frameless rear-view mirror
110V standard plug power receptacle, located in the rear of the front center console
IntelliBeam headlamp high beam auto control added to the (Y65) Driver Awareness Package and (Y66) Driver Assist Package
Thicker sport steering wheel included with all (KB7) Magnesium steering wheel paddle shift control equipped vehicles
    (VEB) Pedal cover set, LPO
(RJP) 225/35ZR19 front and 225/30ZR19 rear, Y-rated, summer performance tires, LPO
(5XW) 19″ ultra-bright machined finish aluminum wheels with silver premium painted pockets, LPO
(5XY) 19″ Manoogian premium painted aluminum wheels, LPO
(5XZ) 19″ gloss Black premium painted aluminum wheels, LPO
(VNI) Black chrome rear trim, LPO
(5XR) Sport grille, Black chrome, LPO

Also....I guess GM heard about all the Cue complaints/ problems and glitches because I have not had any problems with mine as a matter of fact it's faster and smoother than the 2013 Cue I tested a few months ago, which was very choppy and slow. I was a little apprehensive about waiting to get the 2014, but I'm glad I did because it gave GM a chance to fix all the 2013 ATS glitches.

    Re: IntelliBeam ROCKS!!

Seems that they deleted a few things, too:
    • Exterior color (GBE) Crystal Red Tintcoat
Exterior color (GLH) Thunder Gray ChromaFlair
Exterior color (GWS) Glacier Blue Metallic
Exterior color (GWV) Summer Gold Metallic
      (PCJ) Sun and Sound Package
(RAO) Audio system, AM/FM stereo, dual USB ports, SD card slot and auxiliary audio port
      (ITF) Interface Auxiliary Device Connectivity
(TSQ) Lighting accent, LED spotlights in doors and overhead console
      (UY4) Navigation system
      (Y64) CUE Infotainment System
      NOTE: (RAO), (ITF), (UY4) and (Y64) replaced by (IO3), (IO5) and (IO6)

However, that's a bit misleading until you realize the NOTE means they just got new product codes. I don't care much about having Intellibeam, but the 110V plug would sure be nice!

I noticed that the 2014 CUE has a diffrent update than the 2013 (fix). I wonder if that is the diffrence and if will be availible to the 13 owners upon request?
