    Clicking noise in steering column

Just took my ATS in for what the dealer calls a pit stop. I have a 3.6 Premium model and I asked the service tech to look into the clicking noise in the steering column. He kept it the whole day and called me to say that they needed to replace a spring. Picked it up this afternoon and lo and behold, clicking noise is gone.

To be more precise, they called it a clocking spring

Finally, someone has the answer. This is a constant complaint through the forum. I took mine in and they found no problem, nice that I can tell them exactly what it is. Thanks for posting.

Thank you for elaborating, rspitler! I'm glad the dealer was able to resolve your clicking concerns, and I'll document your feedback after posting this.
