SEAT ISSUE - The Technical fix is to have TWO C-clamps installed, which the dealership did. Even my Service Advisor was skeptical, and for good reason. The "fix" was ineffective. Still loose, and am in contact with the GM Service Representative who is exploring other options, namely having a field engineer come out and diagnose himself. Am beyond frustrated, as that was my 5th trip to dealership with this issue. Will keep posted.

SQUEAKY ARMREST ISSUE - Amazing. The dealership received THREE damaged replacement door panels, and told me they were investigating why they are coming in damaged. I essentially told them I don't give a rat's a** how or why they are being damaged en route, just get a new panel in. After 2 more days of delay, I finally told them to just take a panel from an existing ATS on the lot, which they did. I drove off the dealership lot, and before I hit the first red light, the squeak was there, and now worse. GM now is documenting this and looking for a solution. Maddening.

ONE MORE THING - This is the topper. During the TWO WEEKS it took to do the seat/panel "repairs" I was treated to an ATS loaner from the dealership. Never...not even to a tiny degree...did I ever feel the seat even twitch or the armrest/panel squeak.

My two cars before this were a BMW and an Audi. I believe i represent the sector GM is looking to capture with this model Cadillac. What a swing and a miss.
    Hello Cherasdad,

I apologize that the fix was in effective and that your dealership received 3 damaged replacement door panels. I hope that the field engineer is able to make a diagnosis and address the issue. Thank you for keeping us updated and please continue to do so. When is the field engineer scheduled to come look at your vehicle? Thank you very much for your time.

    Hello JayCC,

I am sorry to hear that your track for the seat came in broke when your dealership ordered the part. Please keep us updated when the new part comes in and let us know if that helps address the issue as well. Thank you very much for your time, we will be looking for your future updates.

For those of you who had this issue, the last we heard the above apparently fixed it for that guy.

At least he did not seem to ever come back with saying the fix failed...

So far so good. It's been a few months and it's holding firm. Now I'm getting the passenger seat done.

When I brought my car in for routine service I asked them to look at it and as I expected I was told "They all do that. Yours isn't that bad." So I messaged Laura and she opened a ticket for me. My district specialist contacted me and will contact the dealer. Let's see where this goes.

    Thanks for posting that.

Interestingly, GM is saying one of the issues is NOT that the seat is moving but rather that it will always move and the fix is to stop it from being noticeable by making it less sudden and eliminating an associated noise in some cars.

I sent that link to my service department manager and she called me today to set up the appointment for next week to have this attempted hopefully. If I can still feel it moving, whether I hear it or not, I will not be satisfied.

Hopefully the shim prevents the movement. I've got a service appt for tomorrow morning, will see how this turns out...

Just picked up my car from the dealer after they installed the shims and lubed the seat frame. So far so good. No detectable movement or noise.

Noticed this today for the first time. Definite bummer.

Is there a TSB number or something I can give my dealer to address the issue?
