    Playing Video

Am I missing something, the manual says thru the SD card you can play videos. So I've tried too different formats both of which are suppose to be supported and loaded a movie on it. The ATS sees the card but nothing on it like the movie. Does the ATS support videos thru the SD card?

Can't imagine the lawyers would allow it no matter what manual says. Maybe if car was stopped. Was your car stopped??

The first was the default out of the box which was FAT32 and then I reformatted it to NTFS.

I think it has to be FAT. Doesn't seem to support above 32GB which is the limit of old school FAT. My 32Gb flash drive works but my 64 GB doesn't.

    MS-DOS (FAT) on a MAC....in other words FAT32

Do you have problems with music files at all?

Just tried FAT32 again on both SD card and thumb drive no luck, I added a copy of music files and those play without any problems. So it's just the movies that are not recognized.

    Re: Playing Video

So I'm using a 64 gb SD card formatted as NTFS. Audio (including playlists) works great. I loaded a few videos on (some .avi and some .m4v). Some of the videos do show up but they don't play. I have to double check which formats were showing up but at least it recognizes some.

When I am in Park and try to play one of the videos... it plays the first second of audio (no video shows up) and then it stops and starts playing the first song on the SD card. Haven't tried other video formats yet.

I posted this in the CUE forum too (link).

    Re: Playing Video

I have not tried any movies yet but was wondering, but on my Z not only you had to be in park but emergency brakes had to be on to be able to play movies.
I installed the by pass kit on the Z so did not worry about it..should check the ATS wiring diagram and try that .let me know if you have any luck

similar thing on my old passat the rns510 would play dvd movies but only in park - you could hack it my setting the speed limit on it to 900 mph or something. Still have not tried to play a .m4v yet. I will update if I can get it to play
