It's true that the germans offer adjustable suspensions on almost all their vehicles, but they make it an optional extra, what you're suggesting is that they make it standard, which will have a negative effect on the MSRP of the car.
Lots of things that are standard have a negative impact on the MSRP. At some point it just becomes required.

EPS in City Cars/Sub-Compacts costs more money than chepo hydraulic units but that isn't going to stop car makers from using EPS.

also true. To be clear, standard mageride on the ATS would be a HUGE selling point, it would simply seem odd if they made it standard across the range when they're offering what would appear to be a very BASE model, and two premium powertrains. It makes more sense to make it apart of the 2.0T and 3.6 V6 powertrain packages.

I agree that Magnaride standard in the 2 high hp models would go along way towards increasing its credibility. To push the drivers' side of its personality, I think Cadillac should introduce a track package very soon.

There's an Autoweek article about their first drive in the ZL1. It has GenIII, which has four smaller magnets rather than 2 larger per shock. The four increases reaction 40 percent quicker than GenII, for an adjustment at every inch of travel at 60mph.
