I am due for a new car, aren't I? lulz

    ----------

I'm waiting for the V. I am starting to make my peace with a turbo V6. Especially if it is bi-turbo like the 335i. Is that how it will likely be? Smaller turbo for low end torque and big turbo for big boost? Or will they be the same size?

If it's 450 hp and 30 mpg I am all in. Struts or not. Crystal Red. The only thing I miss about my CTS4 is the color.

I miss the tossability of my V1. If I still have my V2 when the ATS-V comes out, I may switch...

If they use it(whaver engine they decide to use) in more than the ATS-V so that there's a good amount of aftermarket, I won't mind one either. That's where my roots are anyway..

That brings up the issue of volume for an ATS-V. Could it be as exclusive as Gen 1 CTS-Vs? ... < 4k units each MY?

    that's a pipe dream..

here's a question; how many e90 m3s are there in the world

answer; 60-70k *and* that's fewer numbers than what the e46 we're produced in

that's what the ats-v is targeting for, actually, if you want a rare one, pickup a sedan. <7k e90 sedans will ever be made

I heard a GM rep on local news say that it would be priced, not lower than, but right with its intended competition.

What would that make the ATS-V cost if the M3 is that "competition?" Low $50ks?

BMW released the configurations for the F30 today. 328i goes as high as $55k, 335i goes to $60k and that's without AWD or "M-Sport" so expect the M3 to START at $60k. So ATS-V will be the same.

I'm sure Cadillac will undercut the M3 but at least a few thousand dollars...

It will likely be two small turbos, the same size, to keep lag down.

If the ATS-V starts over $60k, that prices me out. Unless Cadillac's poor resale holds and I can pick one up a year old for $40k.

seems fine, infact an M3 starts at 60K right now.... a B8 S4 doesn't exactly have dollar-tree pricing either, you can spec one of those well into the mid 60s (ie.. CTS-V territory, which is why more than a few people on here come from them)

Cars have gotten a lot more expensive in the last 5-6 years it seems. I think the average price is up $5k.

Same here. $40k as a CPO would work for me, though.

Though I haven't made a decision one way or the other, a one-year-old ATS-V with under 10k miles might be the more prudent financial course to take.

    Kinda like marrying a divorcee.
