2014 Jet Black Interior with Brushed Aluminum Accents

Anyone have pics of the new 2014 Jet Black/Brushed aluminum trim interior? I'm curious to see how it looks compared to the 2013 version that had the decorative etching. Per the Cadillac website, it looks like they simply air-brushed over the stock 2013 photo, so I'm hoping a forum member who has this interior option can post some pics.

    Thanks!

I have the 2014 with the black and silver, I was disappointed when I realized mine didn't have the decorative etching. Im not sure why Cadillac took it away for '14. I'll try to remember to take some pics tomorrow and post them.

I would like to see the pictures of the changed aluminum trim also because I have been searching Cadillac dealer inventory interior pictures for weeks trying to see what it really looks like.

I wonder if they got rid of it due to feedback or if it was cost cutting.

Here is some information on the process with the decorative aluminum trim posted by the supplier.

I'm old school, I really like the wood accents. Makes it feel more luxury to me. Without the etchings, the brushed aluminum is kinda blah.
Be interesting to see if aftermarket options pop-up for customizing the brushed aluminum.

I'm hoping that rsrtampa can post his pics of his 2014 trim. I've seen some nice brushed aluminum trim and I've seen some pretty crappy brushed aluminum trim depending the auto manufacturer. I think it looks good in an all-black interior as it's pops and helps break up the sea of black leather and trim.

Does anyone know if you could order the 3 pieces of trim in plain brushed aluminum to replace the ones with the etching? Would they all have different part numbers? Would they match the other aluminum trim in the 2013?

I believe the interior trim pieces are interchangeable. There is another thread on the subject and a few members have traded pieces while others have purchased new pieces directly from Cadillac and then sold their original pieces. I would think they would match the other aluminum pieces as long as they don't have etching.

I'm still hoping some members can post some nice pictures of the 2014 Jet Black interior with the new aluminum trim that does not have the 2013 etching so we can see the difference. The Cadillac website photos really don't show the detail.

It's been documented that Cadillac continued to use up old stock.

Thanks. I'm hoping someone who has a 14' with the new aluminum trim can post a similar picture to showcase the difference. The pictures on the Cadillac site are pretty bad and photoshopped.

I wish I had the one with the etching. Mine are boring, but still feel great.

Only good photo I have online right now:

    Looks clean without the etchings.
It took me a while to appreciate the etchings in mine.

I mean I definitely love the brushed aluminum as it is in my car, but I personally liked the etching for giving it a bit more personality without going overboard.
