Looks nice man, I have been thinking of replacing my grille with mesh one but I don't want to do all of the work of removing and replacing the front fascia. This maybe a better option. Just want to do something to make it stand out more. Good job, is that a wrap of some sort?

Photoshop hehe I never do anything aesthetically before I chop it to see first. I'm thinking plastidip with a glossifier over top? I dont really know if this is something I want permanent yet. Wraps I find are difficult to get perfect.. or maybe its just me lol.

Re: Blacking out chrome on the front, thoughts?

I plasti dipped all my chrome, front and back (including emblems and window trim on the sides) I haven't done my wheels yet, but I love it. It seems kind of flimsy when it's first applied, but once it's fully cured, it's hard and I don't have any issues when I clean it or anything.

Re: Blacking out chrome on the front, thoughts?

I plastidipped my chrome on my Black Raven too. Had it on for about 6 months and took it off. Started to look like sun faded rubber which is exactly what it was. I dont mind the chrome because its not a true mirror chrome. Thinking about wrapping the door chrome in black then everything else in a satin graphite...

I like the blackout look but in paint and vinyl not plastidip.

I was thinking about using this stuff

    http://www.duplicolor.com/products/shadow/

wors case I always have my own spray booth I could do it in, maybe a gloss black/clear mix to just give the chrome a black smoke look..

Re: Blacking out chrome on the front, thoughts?

IMO if you gonna bother, why not murder out the car while you're at it? Murdering out completely means flat black paint, tinted windows, blacks wheels, black lug nuts, black trim, smoked lights and emblems and every little silver or gray object peeking out i painted black. Leaving the emblem or anything else non blacked defeats the whole purpose of doing this, making it look "uncomplete".

Re: Blacking out chrome on the front, thoughts?

I've done the whole murdered out thing, my SS cobalt was. I just love the look of the front end glossed black, I HATE the factory 17"'s on this car and I hate them even more flatblack, looks cheap (no offense to anyone) but I just dont like flat black wheels.... especially these ones (17") if I'm ever getting black rims they'd be black chrome.
