Down pipe vs Cleaned out converter.

Title says it all. I decided I didn't have anything to loose cause if it doesn't work I will be getting the Down pipe anyways so I decided to just clean out the converter.

Definitely made a difference. Much much more responsive on the turbo spinning up and noticible power difference. Now to just get the runner from Diablo when he is done.

Yes. Cleaned out all the honeycomb of stuff.

Right now I'm getting codes because of the tune not being installed yet. It's just lean codes right now.

It's basically the same concept as buying the down pipe just a lot cheaper.

And irreversible. Not worth it IMO. Just buy a downpipe.

Already planned on doing the down pipe later. Just wanted to try something else first in the mean time. Not worried about it being irreversible.

Added PFADT Catless DP to my Car.
Also added a mini cat and 90 degree adapter from Innovative Performance and Customs. So far no codes have put 300-500 miles on the car since the install.
Waiting for full release to have a CMR custom tune and deprogrammed the rear O2 sensors

I kept my factory DP intact. Never know when it will needed given the inspection process.

There should be some more gain with the aftermarket DP from the improved shape and mandrel bends, especially as other mods and tuning get added to the car.

Ditto. Nice to be able to return the car to stock when reselling down the line.

I don't like selling a car without cats. It can potentially create a legal loophole for the buyer to return the car if they change their mind.
